Foundation History

Discussions concerning the formation of a “community foundation” began during the summer of 2017.  A Board of Directors was formed in December 2017 and Articles of Incorporation were filed with the Arizona Corporate Commission.

The Rio Verde Community Foundation was incorporated by the State of Arizona on March 15, 2018 as a Domestic Nonprofit Corporation.  The Original Incorporation Date is listed as February 7, 2018. The IRS granted the Foundation status as a IRS 501(c)(3) Public Charity on May 17, 2019.
